The Consulate General of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Mumbai issues visas to individuals residing in and applying from India.
All foreign nationals are required to obtain a valid Afghan visa prior to travelling to Afghanistan. Afghan nationals holding dual nationality are exempt from the visa requirement, provided they possess a valid Afghan National Identity Card (Tazkira).
Due to regulatory requirements, we can only issue single entry visas valid for a one-month stay, with the exception of Business Visas (can be issued up to a maximum period of 3 years with multiple entries).
Those wishing to stay longer in Afghanistan can apply to the Consulate Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul for an extension of their visa.
The Afghanistan e-Visa allows eligible travelers to apply for a visa online without visiting an embassy or consulate.
Applicants can complete the entire process digitally by submitting the application form, uploading required documents, and paying the visa fee through the secure online portal.
The e-Visa is typically issued as a Single Entry Visa and allows travelers to enter Afghanistan for tourism, short-term visits, or other approved purposes.
Validity: Up to 3 months
Maximum Stay: Up to 30 days
Once approved, the e-Visa will be sent electronically and must be presented upon arrival.

Print the filled form and bring it along with your passport and other necessary documents to the Consulate.
